Last month, we began introductions to our first tribe of our amazing Trailblazers! We are excited to formally introduce to you the next five Lace Brick Design brand ambassadors!
I only started Instagram in the spring of 2017 when I got my dog Henry. I am not exactly sure how LBD showed up on my feed, but what caught my eye was the photography of these adventurous women with resonating, cute sayings, such as Campfire Hair Don't Care?! Then I checked out your website and other Instagram photos and fell in love with the description of your brand and the idea of bringing women together through #ponytailposse. I find many wild, free, fearless females spend a lot of time alone and sometimes may feel alone in their quest for more life, more depth, more adventure, more creativity, etc, etc.! All of a sudden through social media, I find a company that is dedicating themselves to creating a brand for this type of woman! I not only want to be apart of helping other like-minded individuals come together through this brand, but also inspire others to find more of their wildness. I am all in
Tell us one interesting quirk about yourself? A party trick, a fascinating story from your life, something that sets you apart and makes you, YOU!
What sets me apart is my versatility. I grew up in a small town on a farm, but left home to live with a billet family when I was 14 to play competitive hockey in the city. Starting so young living a dual life has developed so many sides and complexities to my person! Country vs City. Mountain vs ocean. Numbers, spreadsheets, and business vs crafting, sewing, lace, and frills. Competitive male hockey, jiu jitsu, and mma training vs yoga, country swing dancing, and meditation. I find interests and parts of myself to explore when I go through these different phases of yin and yang. This makes it very hard for a man to keep up!!
Do you have a favorite recipe, playlist, hike restaurant, or go-to secret gem where you live? Tell us about it!
My secret gem is the side of a river valley 8 hours north west of Calgary in the Peace Country. I come from a long line of farmers, so I grew up farming this land. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been saying, "One day I am going to buy this." 20 years later, it happened. Pure river valley, nature, northern lights, fresh water creek, hill sides of wild saskatoons, trails, beaver ponds. My family and I put a cabin on this piece of land this summer and this place has truly allowed to settle in as my sanctuary. Any weight that has been resting on your shoulders can finally lift.
What does being a fearless female mean to you?

There is definitely a lot to choose from buuuuutttttttt what stands out the most is the adventure bags! They are so unique, colorful, and good quality! It is only a matter of time before I have one ready to go on my next adventure with me on!

What inspired you to apply for the Lace Brick Design Trailblazer Ambassador Search?
I am already in love with so many LBD items, it only made sense to apply to be a Trailblazer Ambassador!

I co-run a hiking group, Alberta Adventure Girls, with fellow Trailblazer Ambassador, Amanda McNally. We LOVE supporting local and do a Local Love post every Wednesday where we feature a small business from Alberta

My absolute favourite hike is Wapta Falls in Yoho National Park. It's a bit of a drive from Calgary however, the scenery on the way is stunning and the waterfall is well worth the trip!
What does being a fearless femalemean to you?
A Fearless Female is someone who isn't afraid to be herself. She stands up for what she believes in, treats others with kindness, and pushes herself outside of her comfort zone. She does what she loves on a constant basis and is continuously striving to better her life in every way possible.

Ooo, that's a hard one! I guess it's my Lace Brick Design toque in baby blue. The material is SUPER soft and doesn't make my head itch like other toques perfect to hike and get sweaty in

I'm a young mom of 4 beautiful children. I love the adventure lifestyle, from hiking to trail running to walks in the park to enjoying a latte at the local cafe. I'm a Starbucks lover and I love coffee. I always love to seek adventure and most of all I love to bring my family along. There's something about being lost on a trail with the ones you love, the connection is more real. Its so rejuvenating. There we can just be us. Family time so important to me.
Do you have a favourite recipe, playlist, restaurant, or secret go to gem where you live? Tell us about it.
I love too find new coffee shops, and I was so excited to hear that a new coffee shop serving Starbucks was coming to Didsbury. Its called The 582 CAFE! Its super trendy and a great little place to meet up with some girlfriends or if you just needed some "me time" I fully approve of their Lattes!
What does being a fearless female mean to you?
A fearless female is a women who is not afraid to be her authentic self. She is strong, confident and has a gentle humbling spirit. Like a warrior she empowers other women to be exactly who they are. She is not afraid to stand out or be different. She's a leader of the pack.

I'm in love with the Mugs!! I love mountains and adventure and coffee! for me sharing a good cup of coffee in a great mug with a good friend is always a top priority. We'd be sharing stories of our adventures or planning more.

I was inspired by the Lace Brick Design brand and everything is includes. I love what it represents and the community that it has created. I wanted to be apart of it.

I smile a lot, like almost too much, but I don't think you can ever smile too much! You can rarely find me without a smile on my face. Growing up people would call me smiley. :) I also absolutely LOVE yoga! I am a yogi at heart.

My go to favorite gem in Olds where I live is Cocoa Tree Bake Shoppe it is to die for! The cupcakes, London fogs, macarons! Another secret gem is the Hayloft in Airdrie it is my favorite restaurant. I also make a killer spinach dip!
What does being a fearless femalemean to you?
Being a fearless female means supporting and encouraging each other, and standing up for what you believe in. It means going after what you truly want in life and not stopping until it is a reality and you are living your dreams.?I figure, if a girl wants to be a legend, she should just go ahead and be one Calamity Jane
