What inspired you to apply for the Lace Brick Design Trailblazer Ambassador Search?
I was inspired to apply to be a Trailblazer Ambassador because I love the vibes (the Lace Brick Design) product gives, as well as the photos posted on social media. I love it even more because it is Canadian-based, and focuses on the local.

Hmmmm? this is a tough one! Well, before moving to Canada, I was basically a beach bum. I was born in South Africa, and spent most of my time on the beach with my family. Now living in Canada, I don't get that lifestyle. I do love the mountains though, but my roots will always be in Africa. I got a tattoo to remind myself of my roots that says, "my heart will always beat to an African drum".
Do you have a favourite recipe, playlist, hike, restaurant, or go to secret gem where you live? Tell us about it!
Well, my favourite song is Mason Jar, by Smallpools. I have a fantastic playlist on my phone, but this is my favourite. I will definitely be playing this song at my wedding one day while walking down the aisle!! My favourite place to eat is Shirley Delicious, located in Shirley BC, on Vancouver Island. Such a rad little gem. You kind of get hippy vibes which is so great, and the owner is always dancing and singing, and the music is bumping. Oooo and he is also South African! How cool is that?!
What does being a fearless femalemean to you?
Being a fearless female means going out and doing whatever you want, when you want. I am so tired of hearing people tell me to "wait a year, work and save money." I want to do what I want, and when I want, so I did. After spending a month in Namibia back in March, I moved to Vancouver Island 6 days after returning to Canada. I am figuring it all out as I go. It's all part of the adventure.

Campfire hair, Don't Care (sweatshirt)! First of all, it's black. Secondly, it's a sweatshirt. Last of all, it represents my daily hair!!! Always in a bun, and more than likely not brushed? oh well. What are you gonna do hahah!
What inspired you to apply for the Lace Brick Design Trailblazer Ambassador Search?
The originality of the designs, the quality of the products and the fact that the adventurous woman is put forward. I saw this as a great challenge for me to promote a business that exactly matches the topics of my personal blog: self-fulfillment and the outdoors. I like the importance given to the community and I'm proud to be a Ponytail Posse!

I describe myself as a rather simple girl, a little shy who does not necessarily attract attention in everyday life. However, in the evening, on a stage, I become a beast. I sing in various bands for different occasions and I really love it.

I like all kinds of music, but especially the indie-folk acoustic. Two artists I admire for their artistic career, Dallas Green and Alecia Moore (better known as City and Color and Pink) have put their talent together to create a project and album perfect for me: You + Me. When I gave birth to my second child at home, this album played all the time. * Funny fact: I'm a back-vocalist in a tribute to Pink called "Trouble"!
What does being a fearless female mean to you?
Being a woman who assumes what she says and does. Who expresses her ideas and her opinion without being afraid of the judgment of others. Who is going through life and who enjoys every moment. Who believes in life and all that she puts in her way and who regrets nothing!

I love collaborating with outdoor lifestyle brands and businesses that are all about building strong communities, and supporting local efforts.

I grew up on the West Coast and the Okanagan Valley so I have a deep love for my home province. I can never get enough ocean, mountain views and fresh orchard fruit. But I've been living in Alberta for quite a few years now so I've found a love for those wide open skies and prairie landscapes.

My favourite play list, hands-down, is Pacific Coast Highway Drive on Google Play. It's always on.I have too many favourite restaurants to count, but if you're ever in Penticton, definitely check out The Wild Scallion (their raw desserts are amazing).My favourite hike is called Creek Falls Park in Naramata, BC - it's awesome for all experience levels and the views are incredible. I also love the Schooner Cove Trail in Tofino.
What does being a fearless femalemean to you?
Being a fearless female to me means pursuing a life that speaks to your truest self and engaging those soul callings. I love surrounding myself with creative and inspiring women that help spark my ambition.

A Canadian girl can never have too many toques so those are definitely a favourite of mine! But I've been eyeing up those Adventure Bags for quite some time now.

I applied to be a trailblazer ambassador because I love what Lace Brick Design is, a brand for the local girl. With so many great products, who wouldn't want to be a Trailblazer ambassador!

I am a co-founder of Alberta Adventure Girls. A local hiking group that strives to connect women in Alberta who are looking get outdoors and explore!

Favourite hike? that's a little hard to narrow down, but I think my all-time favourite hike would be Chester Lake, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. This is a great all season hike with a beautiful alpine lake and stunning mountain views.
What does being a fearless female mean to you?
Being a fearless female means having the courage to step outside my comfort zone and try new things that may scare me.

My favourite Lace Brick Design good would be my Alpine Wood Studs. They allow me to bring the mountains everywhere I go!

I've been a huge fan of (Lace Brick Design) products for a while now, I have a passion for adventure and the outdoors, plus I enjoy photography. For me - it was the perfect trifecta and I was excited for the opportunity!

I can proudly say that I am a 3-time relay runner in the Sinister 7 Ultra. Sinister 7 is a 161 km trail race that takes you through the most remote and beautiful back-country of the Crowsnest Pass. The course is broken down in to 7 stages; with distances ranging from 11 km to 36 km. Some friends introduced me to the race a few years ago, and I've been hooked ever since!

Red Deer seriously has the best trail system in the league! If I can't live in the mountains, I feel very fortunate to be in a city that has over 100 km of off-street trails that make you feel like you're in the middle of a forest! (It even comes with that amazing nature-pine smell!) The trails are all linked and you can get from one edge of the city to the other and not really touch the roads at all.
What does being a fearless femalemean to you?
Being a fearless female to me means staying true to yourself, always accepting of a challenge and never underestimating what you are capable of. Do something that makes you feel free and empowered once in a while!

You are so right! It's incredibly hard to choose one design. If I have to pick one, right now it would be the 'Have Tent - Will Adventure' sweatshirt. It basically says I'm up for anything and I'm kinda like that. <3
